Good evening All Taste Nation,
I have a very important topic to talk to you about today. Now, we all know the All Taste Explosion is your source for insanity and comedy, and I won't deny we've had some crazy moments on the Dennis Daniel show with the feud with Seto Kaiba. However, it has come to my attention that some believe we actually think Kaiba is a real person and that we are actually going to war on him.
Ladies and gentlemen, my brother John Pokemon and myself know fully that Seto Kaiba, or any cartoon characters are 100% NOT REAL PEOPLE! We've known that from the very beginning. I'm going to break character and explain this whole cartoon character thing happening on the show.
It started about October of 2009, when we had Pat Fraley on the show who is best known as the voice of Krang from the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Before the interview and to my surprise, Mr. Fraley started out by talking as Krang and in character, and we had fun with it. It was then that I decided that if we have a voice actor on the show, we have to start of with talking to one of the characters they voiced.
In January 2010, we had Eric Stuart on the show, and before the show started, I asked Eric if he would talk to us a little bit as Kaiba for a couple of jokes. We trash talked him, he trash talked us, all harmless fun. When I dediced to upload that bit to promote the podcast and after seeing the response in just two short days hitting over 2000 views on YouTube, I realized we had something golden rolling with the voices. So, we dediced to begin a storyline on the ATE where we would go to war with Kaiba Corp. It was kind of an omage to D-Generation X feuding with WCW.
Then we had LittleKuriboh on the show and thought to keep the ball rolling, and we got an even bigger response to it with us talking to Marik and Bakura, but we asked him in advance if he would be cool with doing a couple of characters prior to the interview, and he said yes.
Bottom line: Yes, we know they're not real people, but we are doing a storyline on our show with this. Kind of like a soap opera, or a wrestling rivalry on Pro Wrestling. It's fake, but it's entertaining to watch.
We promised the most absolute crazy and wacky things you've ever seen on radio, and we're just delivering. Where will the storyline take us? We don't know, so you'll have to tune in and find out.
Thank you, and good night,
"Boogaloo Shrimp" Dennis Daniel & John John Pokemon
