Last week, The Dennis Daniel Show traveled to A&G Ohio 2011 to host the first ever LIVE studio audience taping of the popular BearcastRadio.com program. However, another reason made itself crystal clear a week before the stage would be set.
As it is now known, Japan was devastated by both an 8.5 earthquake, and a tsunami within the same 24 hour period. 10,000 are presumed dead and thousands more are in pain and do not know what tomorrow will bring. Dennis & John's hearts go out to those affected by this natural disaster, but also know hearts will not heal the country alone.
Last Saturday at A&G Ohio, Dennis hosted the first ever Dennis Daniel Show Prize Raffle, a raffle drawing which donated proceeds to the American Red Cross and their efforts to bring much needed relief to Japan. Prized included were autographed Tshirts, CDs, pieces from Dennis' personal animé collection, and much more. Thanks to the combined efforts of A&G Ohio, Wendee Lee, Brentalfloss, Quinton Flynn, Dennis and the animé fans, the grand total raised at the Dennis Daniel Show was in the amount of $210.13, all of which will be going to the American Red Cross.
From the bottom of my heart, I cannot thank the A&G Ohio fans enough for their contributions to the Red Cross. It may not seem like enough, but every penny DOES matter. That money will bring must needed comfort to many of the devastated families who need to know someone out there cares. We even received donations from many of the convention goers just so they could do their part. A&G Ohio, BearcastRadio.com, and The Dennis Daniel Show would like to thank everyone for their generous donations and contributions to such a worthy cause. You are all true heroes and the country of Japan thanks you for your personal sacrifice.
